VIRTUAL STREET
Tunnel display is a virtual street. It denies a clear existence of boundaries. It liberates elements articulating space, mass loses its meaning. Architecture is formed by image, by illusion.
Detachment from the material world offers a choice. It is a specific interaction between the user and the virtual space. The input is a user’s will, the output is an application. Application controlled by the movement on the screen. People communicate with the “building”. “Building” communicates with people.
Virtual space preserves the original tunnel, the only thing which is added is inner envelope made of display panels. Applications and final functions are completely programmed. The project provides almost unlimited number of outlets. The project also tries to suppress drawbacks of the original tunnel. The feeling of fear, gloom, darkness and danger. Tunnel is designed as a vision more than the real thing.
Project wa completed in a short video.
